History of IED

For the last twenty five years, IED has emerged, as our name implies, as an innovator in the field of audio distribution and integrative management systems. Founded in 1978 as a research and development company, IED has grown into a leading audio industry manufacturer that is owned, managed, and operated by its dedicated team of original founders.

While we maintain installations in hundreds of venues around the globe, IED's corporate operations are based in Louisville, Kentucky.
