Paging Systems have developed into IED’s largest market. We deliver comprehensive systems that range from small hospitals and industrial facilities to the world’s largest airports. All systems are designed to provide professional quality audio and intelligibility with CD quality performance. Telephone grade systems may be easy to install but do not provide the quality most facilities desire or the intelligibility required for mass notification.

IED developed many of the features now considered standard such as computer controlled messaging, store and forward announcements, digital zoning, multi-zone ambient analysis, automatic backup amplifier switching, multi-function paging stations, etc. While most installations use standard off-the-shelf equipment and software, IED can develop custom features or software GUI’s to meet the needs of any facility.

The size, architecture and features required will determine the IED system best suited for your facility.

510ACS Announcement Control System

The 510ACS is the system of choice for airports, large healthcare and government facilities, and command centers where a large scale system is required to support a large number of paging stations, zone outputs, and message traffic. The 510ACS may operate as a centralized head end or as multiple systems distributed over the network.

New installations and major expansions will normally be installed as fully digital networked systems. This architecture would include:

For legacy ACS installations, contact IED to discuss if digital or analog equipment may be best suited for your scope of work.

8000 Totally Integrated Processing System

The IED 8000 is an analog paging controller that integrates most control and processing functions into a single compact mainframe. It is ideally suited for small facilities such as hospitals, distribution centers or transit stations where a single mainframe is required. The 8000 may also be used as a distributed paging system for industrial facilities, government installations, or as local controllers in an enterprise-wide system using one or more 510ACS’s.

An 8000 system will normally include these components:
